Tibetan and Himalayan cultures traditionally use these colored pieces of cloth. People often hang them in mountains, temples, and homes. The inscription on the Tibetan Prayer flags contains prayers, mantras, and symbols that carry goodwill, compassion, and blessings with the wind. Tibetan always set them up in series of five colors, with each color representing an element: blue for the sky, white for air, red for fire, green for water, and yellow for earth. The act of hanging the prayer flags symbolizes the propagation of peace, harmony, and positive energy.
We are working with Himalayan artisans to stock new pieces in this collection.
